²³ They also built for themselves ^(A)high places and sacred ^(B)pillars and ^[a](C)Asherim on every high hill and ^(D)beneath every green tree. ²⁴ There were also ^(E)male cult prostitutes in the land. They did according to all the abominations of the nations which Yahweh dispossessed before the sons of Israel.
